With 10 years of yoga practice and a successful career as a global health advocate leading strategic communications, advocacy and multi-stakeholder partnership initiatives at the United Nations, NGOs and healthcare PR agencies to improve health outcomes in some of the most marginalized communities around the world, Trey's journey on and off the mat inspired him to become a registered yoga teacher (RYT) in 2016. With an academic background in psychology and public health, Trey possesses a strong understanding of the intersections between mental and physical health, community dynamics and social determinants of health. Through his practice, Trey aims to connect these dots for his students, bringing healing, clarity and balance.

Trey is a registered yoga teacher, with a 200hr RYT certification from the Joschi Yoga Institute in New York City. He holds a Bachelor’s degree (BA) in Psychology from Clemson University and a Master’s degree in Public Health (MPH) from the George Washington University. He hails from the Blue Ridge Mountains in southern Virginia and currently resides in New York City and Asbury Park, NJ with his husband. Trey is a global health advocate, a pop culture junkie, an avid traveler and a gluten-free foodie.

Trey is CPR/AED trained through the American Red Cross and is registered with Yoga Alliance.
